Maria and Lynda Rock The Spiral Dance
You know Maria and Lynda are amazing. Of course they are! I know this!
But I haven't been around them in person... in ceremony... for some time.... which made it extra fun to be at the 26th Annual Womyn's Spiral Dance with them!
Because there I was, just giddy by being able to see them and hug them in the flesh, when Maria starts Speaking (you know the capital "S" speaking where her voice changes and that spirit-pow! starts flowing out) and I felt at once that I was going to get blown out of my sitting position while being completely rooted to the spot, unable to move, at the same time.
A part of me thought, "Gee, maybe I shouldn't be sitting this close." LOL!
And of course Lynda with her lovely smile who just quietly goes about her work while at the same time you feel as if someone is saying, "It's just a hug!" and while you are sighing happily in a hug all of your gunk just gets stolen out of you by some coyote who runs across the room with it laughing...
...and you laugh...
...and she laughs....
...and you think, "Can we just pause time for like, a zillion years, so I can just luxuriate in this feeling of being connected to the Mother, to the All That Is AND to that crazy Coyote Crack Between the Worlds? and to Lynda? I mean, folks, it's LYNDA!"
So some incredible time was had by all and I feel like the incredibly lucky one who scored a back-stage pass to the most awesome, fantastic Earth Mama energy all around.
Yeeeeeeeee-hooooo!!!!
I love you Maria and Lynda. You are, as always, the most amazing, fantastic, loving, Just Do It, Be There, awesome women, Aunties, Shimas a kid could ask for.
